another overnight Amtrak haul brought us to Western Virginia, near ROANOAKE, to visit UKE JILL

Jill had contacted us through YouTube, and invited us to stay in the Hills of Virginia with her and her fiance Chris, in their newly purchased home in a beautiful rural area

they threw a house-warming and welcome party for us, and there was uke/banjo/guitar/mandolin jamming galore on a sunny afternoon in the hills...

the next day the weather turned, but we found a break in the rain to record a video with Jill, down by the stream close by... a beautiful country song in a country setting...

and thanks for getting us on that train Jill!
you're the best!
love, Bosko&Honey

after North Carolina, B&H took an overnight Amtrak connection to Georgia... near Atlanta

we were the to visit the Infamous and Ubiquitous YouTube ukulele commenter and performer of old rock classics: MR KHARMACHANIC! - otherwise known as "Butch"

Butch was our 1st ever YouTube subscriber, so we thought it would be highly appropriate we go visit him, and were very pleased when he accepted our suggestion!

We spent 2 days and 1 night together, which was JUST enough time to become real friends, shoot a shared video, interview his cockatoo "Tango" eat some Southern Barbeque and grits and eggs at the "Waffle House"

Butch is a terrific guy who's philosophy is encapsulated by his assertion that he lives in a beach bungalow... just without the beach!

We miss you Butch... that video'll be up before TOO long!

also in Wilmington we met up with our YouTube buddy, MrMet5, otherwise known as Hiroshi Kishimine

Hiroshi is a classical guitarist, whose renditions of Dusan Bogdanovic's African Sketches on Youtube really got our attention!

Hiroshi also plays uke, and we interviewed him for the safari
He was also kind enough to play as an interlude in our performance at Kent's Ukulele Academy...

we caught the overnight train to Raleigh, North Carolina where KENT KNORR, from the NORTH CAROLINA UKULELE ACADEMY met us to take us 2 hours back to his place in WILMINGTON

Kent is is great guy who we met at the KIWAYA booth during the NY UKEFEST

he owns and operates a ukulele school and shop in this beautiful coastal city

Kent is a great fingerstyle player and long time musician who has played ukulele since his teens, having discovered its joys through inheriting his grandfather's Martin style 0

he also plays mandolin and 5 string banjo, although these days is really the uke that occupies his time

We played at his studio and shop to an audience of about 60 people, and it was a lovely night, and Kent and his wife Paula and lovely daughter Anna showed us some real southern-style hospitality!

thanks SO much guys.... we had a really wonderful time, and it's great to know you!

Kent welcomes us Hawaiian-style
